Now, I normally don’t do this, but rather than sit here and write a few thousand words on how amazing this series is or how amazing the author is, I’m going to give it to you straight. If you have yet to read the Fate/Love/Hope Trilogy written by Cullen818, then you are obviously a few fries short of a Happy Meal. This is an amazing series, all wonderfully written. This was the series that turned me into a Jasper fan, and I haven’t left Team Jasper yet. It doesn’t matter if your Team Edward, Team Jasper or Team whoever else, this series is a definite must-read! A captivating plotline in each story, and has you dying for the next one in the series. So get your ass up and go read the series, or I’ll hunt you down and conk you over the head with a bat.
So grab a drink and enjoy!

“Running” by MerinaGreen
Summer is in full swing darlings, and the sun is bright and shiny! I’ve got another juicy story for you all. Running by MerinaGreen is a Jasper/Bella with a whole lot of angst and drama. Set after the wedding in Breaking Dawn, Bella is changed and her, Edward and Carlisle go to the Volturi to confirm her change. Things go wrong and Edward ends up dead, Bella missing and the rest of the Cullens searching for Bella.
Edward had been so wrong. There was a god, and he clearly cared about vampires. Enough to send destruction to her door step, just as requested. What would she have to do, she wondered, to get him to attack instead of just yell?
She watched carefully as the man, or thing, or whatever it was, continued to pace back and forth. He was spitting in his anger now, and she thought fleetingly that he looked more than a bit like a rabid dog...rabid dog...that stirred some thought, deep in her memory...
She didn't have time to complete the thought - even with her vampire brain - because the thing was finally screaming a word she understood. "OUT. OUT. OUT!" he screamed, gesturing at the cave opening behind him. And then, much more quickly than he had appeared, he was gone with almost vampire-like speed.
"Well," said Alice. "At least she's not starving any more. Maybe she'll start moving around more now, and give us some idea of where she's at..."
"What was he saying? There at the end? Could you understand what he was saying?" Jasper asked, eager to have any information that could help them.
Alice looked at Carlisle and finally smiled, "Thanks to Carlisle's paranoia, yes, I got a fair bit of what he was saying once he switched to Russian. Looks like those lessons finally came in handy, 'Dad'."
The others chuckled, too. During the Cold War, Carlisle had insisted they all learn Russian. Just in case. There'd been several instances when Alice's visions had been extremely blurry about the outcome of various situations and Carlisle thought it was best to be prepared for anything. It had been language lessons that they'd rarely, if ever, had a chance to put to good use. The Soviet Union had always been low on their list of places to visit for a variety of reasons, in spite of its varied hunting opportunities.
"And?" Jasper finally asked, the impatience of all of them reflected in his voice.
"Well, he was just asking if she was all right, if she was lost, if she needed help. That sort of thing." While she spoke, she quickly sketched, the image of the man in her visions quickly appearing on the paper Rosalie had slid in front of her on the table.
"Hmm... Just looks like a typical hiker to me. No hints in what he's wearing. Well, it's obviously not winter, wherever she is – he's wearing shorts. No way of knowing when the vision is for, though, is there?" Carlisle asked Alice, looking hopeful.
Alice shook her head. "No. It could be now, it could be next week, it could be next month. I suppose it COULD be next year, but I usually don't see this random sort of thing THAT far out. I think we could safely assume, for now, that it is THIS summer. Which puts her in the northern hemisphere. Somewhere where the people would try several languages, other than English, to communicate – including Russian. Though I'd like to point out it wasn't his first language choice."
"Hmmm..." Carlisle said, looking thoughtful.
"Well, I hope we figure out where she is quickly," Esme said, still looking slightly horrified by what Alice had just seen. "So we can go get her before she slips again."
The Cullen’s come up with a plan to go find Bella, but trouble unfolds when the Volturi send a guard member to destroy the relationship between Jasper and Alice. Jasper leaves to go find Bella in the Russian wilderness and runs into trouble as he looks for her in the form of werewolves, thought to be extinct.
When Jasper finally catches up with Bella, they head west towards Italy, and the attraction towards each other heats up. The closer they get to their destination, the closer these to get to each other. After another run in with the werewolves, Jasper and Bella hide out and keep each other warm, if you catch my drift. When they finally meet up with the Cullen’s in Romania and discover the true nature of the events that have passed, The Cullen’s are still handling the aftermath of Bella’s trauma and the effects it has on her. When the Volturi come to Romania to eliminate the problem once and for all, things come to a head.
This story is quite captivating, with a plot that will have you flying by the edge of your seat. If you want more of this amazing couple, you should go check out the sequel to Running, titled Chaotic Dynamics. It’s just as thrilling and as captivating.
So grab a drink and enjoy!

“The Submissive/The Dominant" by tara sue me
Bonjour from California! Ahaha! It’s another week, that means it’s time for another rec from the fabulous Me! This week, I’ve got a special pair for you to read. The Submissive and The Dominant written by tara sue me is a set of fics; the same story, told from different POV’s in each story. The Submissive written in Bella’s POV and The Dominant written in Edward’s POV. Bella is a novice Sub looking for a Dom to train her; Edward is an experienced Dom looking for a new Sub to play with.
I'd seen his picture before. Everyone in Chicago knew Edward Cullen, owner and CEO of Mason Industries.
I'm pleased to say that the pictures I'd seen didn't do the man justice. His skin was pale, but not in an unhealthy way, just pale enough to set off the deep green of his eyes and the breathtaking bronze of his hair. Hair that begged you to run your fingers through it. To grab on and pull those lips to your own. And his fingers tapped methodically on his desk. Long, strong fingers. I felt my knees go weak just thinking about what those fingers could do.
I made myself remember where I was. And why.
Across from me, Edward gave the faintest of smiles. Could he read minds?
But he was talking again. "I'm not interested in why you chose to come here or what your background is. If I chose you and you are agreeable to my terms, your past won't matter." He picked up those papers again and ruffled through them. "I know what I need to know from this report."
We stood in silence for several long minutes.
"You have no training," he said. "But you're very good."
I felt my face heat.
"Ah," he said. "The one response you can't hide. I think I rather like it."
Silence again as he stood and walked to the large window behind his desk. It was full dark now and I could see his reflection in the glass. Our eyes met and I looked down.
"And I rather like you, Isabella Swan. Although I don't recall telling you to look away."
I could feel my face grow several degrees hotter as I looked back up.
"Yes, I think a weekend test is in order." He turned from the window and loosened his tie. "You will come to my estate this Friday night at six exactly. We will have dinner and progress from there."
He laid his tie on the couch to his right and unbuttoned the top button of his shirt. "I have certain standards my subs must live up to. You are to get at least eight hours of sleep every Sunday through Thursday night. You will eat a balanced diet - I will have a meal plan emailed to you. You will also run one mile, three times a week. Twice a week you will engage in strength and endurance training at my gym. A membership will be created for you starting tomorrow. Do you have any concerns about any of this?"
Another test. I didn't say anything.
He smiled. "You may speak freely."
Finally. I licked my lips. "I'm not the most…coordinated, Mr. Cullen. I'm afraid it's hard for me to walk, much less run."
"You must learn not to let your weakness rule you, Isabella." He walked to his desk and wrote something down. "Three times a week you will also attend yoga classes. They have these at the gym. Anything else?"
I shook my head.
"Very well. I will see you Friday night." He held out some papers to me. "This will have everything you need know."
I took the papers. And waited.
He smiled again. "You are excused."
Mission accomplished.
As they work together, feelings develop for each other develop between them, but they both suppress them in order to not to ruin their Dom/Sub relationship. As they play together, they learn things about each other, deepening the feelings between them. As the line between their relationships blurs, it causes problems and nearly destroys them both. But love always prevails, and the couple comes through strong.
With over ten thousand reviews a piece, these stories are well worth your time. These stories are beautifully written, allowing you to fall into your deepest desires. If you want more of these two trying to find the balance between their relationship with each other as lovers and as Dom/Sub, then go check out the sequel, The Training.
So grab a drink and enjoy!

“Such Great Heights” by SweetT129
It’s summer time people; go have some fun in the sun! Stretch out on a towel and soak up the rays! And while you’re at it, go check out this juicy fic! Such Great Heights by SweetT129 is one filthy, yummy, hot goddamn it’s lemony story. When Bella goes to visit her friends Jasper and Alice at their Las Vegas home for a weekend of fun, things don’t go quite as she expected.
I wondered if they had been serious the night before, when Jasper had mentioned Alice's previous reaction to tequila. Then I wondered what she would do if I kissed her. I supposed that we were drunk enough to excuse the inappropriateness of the kiss, so she probably wouldn't hit me. Hopefully.
Damn it all to hell, I just didn't care. I simply had to taste those lips.
So I did.
I leaned in to her, meeting her eyes as I did. She knew what I was going to do before I actually did it, but she didn't pull away. I took that as a sign of her acceptance, and moved the last few inches toward her until our lips touched.
Oh god, her lips WERE soft! I felt that kiss with my entire body; it started at my lips, but the tingles and warmth that it caused spread through my body like a wildfire.
My tongue slipped past her lips and into her mouth, and I heard us moan together as it met hers. My hand reached out, without any conscious thought on my part, and found the back of her head, my fingers winding in her soft black and blue hair and holding her against me. I was completely lost in the kiss. I forgot where I was, who I was, who she was... Nothing mattered at all except for the way her lips felt against mine.
I don't know how long that kiss lasted, but as some point, my body completely ran out of oxygen, so I had to pull away, no matter how much I didn't want to. As my lips left hers, I gasped for air. It had been the best kiss of my life up until that moment, hands down.
In the two seconds that passed after we stopped kissing, I tried to wrap my mind around what had just happened. They may have been the longest two seconds ever. I had just kissed Alice Whitlock. I had just kissed Jasper's wife.
Oh god! Jasper!
I opened my eyes to look at him, ready to apologize for my horrible drunken betrayal. But instead of seeing him sitting across from me, angry, I was met with the sight of his face, merely centimeters from mine, his eyes hooded with lust, just before he kissed me.
Thing get pretty *ahem* hot and heavy from there. In the days after their weekend of love, the trio decides to continue with the arrangement. The three of them met through an online fic site (wonder where that idea came from) and Twitter. Bella, an author for a newspaper, is married to Edward, who is off saving the world as a doctor in Kenya and her best friend Victoria is a chef in the governor’s mansion.
The trio continues their dalliances as they handle real life and their complicated relationship. But Alice’s depression and Bella trying to hide her relationship from her family and friends causes some strain between them. After getting advice from an acquaintance and another weekend together at Bella’s place, things seem to be going smoothly. Unfortunately all good things most come to an end. Alice’s depression causes a serious rift between the couple and Bella. As they try to figure out if their relationship will last, Bella struggles with her own relationship with Edward. The couple seems to work out, but during their next visit to Bella, Alice drops a bombshell.
This is one schmexy story and it is written by one awesome lady. If you’re in the mood for a sexy threesome or a snarky, loveable Bella, then you should definitely give this story a read!

"When Darkness Falla" by LaVitaNuova
Boy, do I have a treat for you this week! If you love dark fics and love a dark Paul even more, get your rears in gear and go check out When Darkness Falls by a returning favorite of mine, LaVitaNuova! This fic will have you flying by the edge of your seat; LaVitaNuova has written yet another cliffhanger that keeps you on your toes. Now I’ve read some dark fics in my time in the Fandom, and I’ve gotta say that this fic takes the cake on dark thrillers.
Pulling up to Charlie's little detached property, which was hidden back at the end of the road, the tension returned when she saw him twitching agitatedly on the porch steps.
He didn't give her time to pull the cab door open herself and though she could tell he was acting out of contorted emotions, she couldn't help the sting of repressed tears when he began to yell loud enough for the entire street to hear.
"What the hell have I told you Bella? How do you think it looks when I can't even get my own daughter to pay attention while the whole town is falling to shit?"
Almost physically retracting from his harsh words, Bella hitched back, the hand he held on her wrist burning as he pulled her from the truck and into the house.
Once safely inside, he let her go, but she was left to linger in the doorway, almost afraid to step forward as he paced back and forth maniacally.
"I'm sorry Dad. I just wanted to see Jake and Embry." She said softly, almost not wanting to draw attention back to herself. She'd never seen her father like this and it wasn't the fear of what he would do, but the fear of what he knew that kept her rooted to the spot.
"Dad, what's going on?" Bella asked tentatively. Her words seemed to stop him in his tracks, his eyes full of troubled pain as they met hers.
"Come sit down Bells?" He requested with a heavy sigh, placing himself down on the couch rather than his usual individual recliner. Her feet followed him and she gingerly graced the edge of the cushions, waiting for whatever words he needed to impart.
"Is it Sam?" She asked impatiently and he lifted his head, looking her over quizzically."No. This isn't about Sam… Bells, this is… well, it's worse…."
He stopped and Bella felt her lungs expand in preparation.
"We got a report a few days ago about a girl who's apparently been missing from the Makah reservation for a couple weeks now. Emily Young?" Charlie added, as if the name might mean something to her.
Shaking her head, Bella tried to beg him to go on without words.
"Apparently she's the cousin of Leah Clearwater, Sam's…" Before he could finish, Bella was speaking for him, "…fiancée, she's Sam's fiancée."
Charlie nodded and Bella couldn't help the adrenaline that seemed to be pouring throughout her body, feeling both afraid and impatient for what Charlie was trying to tell her.
"What about her?" She said eventually, knowing what she was asking but unwilling to put into words.
Charlie nodded and unlike the usual perfunctory space that was held between them, he rustled closer and she wasn't sure if he was trying to offer comfort or looking for some himself.
"She's dead Bells. A hiker found her in the woods this afternoon; it looks like an animal attack, but…"
He didn't need to say anymore, even to her it sounded far too suspicious, first Leah's fiancé went missing and now her cousin had shown up dead.
"I need you to stay put Bella. I know you think I've been too strict on you recently, but I can't watch you all the time and I know Jake's a good guy, but I don't like the idea of you going down there. Not until I can figure all of this out."
He was all but begging with her, asking rather than demanding. She understood both his fatherly and vocational predicaments. Knowing she had little space to maneuver, she agreed, nodding her head and hoping that in the morning they could reassess the situation somehow.
He left a few minutes later when his radio crackled a code she couldn't understand. Closing the door shut behind him, she wrestled with the chain, wondering just when her fingers had begun to shake. She didn't like feeling so weak, especially so unnecessarily, she thought. She bound up the stairs two at a time, laying out her books and flinging down her backpack, hoping to delve into a mountain of homework. It didn't happen though, and it wasn't only because her mind was caught in a whirlpool of horror. Nestled on the edges of a flourishing eco-system, animal calls weren't out of the ordinary in Forks. But on this night the whole town looked to their windows in disturbed interest; as barely ten minutes passed when the darkness wasn't penetrated by the piercing wail of a painful howl.
The plotline in this story has you constantly wondering what surprise LaVitaNuova will through at you next. An astounding piece of work, LaVitaNuova taps into the inherent darkness that is present in all mankind and brings it to light in such an intriguing plot, you want to look away. Grab yourself a big up of coffee because you aren’t gonna want to stop reading this fic up till the very end.
So grab a drink and enjoy!

“Dangerous Corporate Liaisons” by Coachlady12
Summer is here my friends, and what better way to kick off the summer than with a nice, cool fic rec! Dangerous Corporate Liaisons by coachlady12 is a hot little story, and not short on the lemons. When playboy Edward runs into hottie Bella in the parking garage of his office building, their first encounter leaves him dazzled.
"Oh, well, I'm sure that someone as important as you would be sorely missed at said meeting," was her sardonic remark. I had to purse my lips to keep the string of profanities that were dying to come out in check. And I could've sworn I heard her murmur, "Stupid fucking prick," under her breath.
She was hell on wheels. Thank God I don't have to come home to her every day. Jesus, the poor bastard she did go home to had to be some pussy-whipped loser if this was her normal way of dealing with men. Cutthroat bitch came to mind and I had to sneer.
I let her hateful little comment go as she got in her car and backed out. That was all I wanted anyway—my fucking space. I wasn't even thinking any other sexual thoughts about her, which was unusual for me. Yeah. She'd definitely doused them with that attitude.
As she backed out of my space, she rolled the passenger window down. I was heading back to my car as she smiled sweetly telling me to have a great day. I pushed my hand through my hair and watched her drive away. I'll never understand women and their mood swings, I thought with a chuckle, shaking my head.
When I got to the thirty-third floor, Tanya, my secretary, handed me the itinerary for the meeting my partner Jasper and I were holding in five minutes. Our company, Masen, Hale and Associates, was making a bid to invest in a start-up that was ready to take off with the right backing. As venture capitalists we had several bids in the wings ready to go at any second.
After quickly going through my mail, I headed to the boardroom.
"Mr. Masen?" Tanya called as I headed out.
"Yeah, Tanya?" I asked, in a hurry to leave.
"There's a Miss Swan on the line for you?"
"Take a message, would you, please? I've got to get to the boardroom," I took off down the hallway to the elevator.
Jasper was already in the boardroom with our prospective business partners when I got there. Mike Newton and Tyler Crowley were trying to get their wholesale liquor company off the ground. Believe it or not, this was one of the rising businesses at this time, and Jasper and I were willing to take a chance every now and then. Also we'd gone to high school with these guys, so we had to at least try to help them.
The meeting went great with our making plans to meet again next week to set things in motion. When I came back to my office, Tanya handed me my messages as I went to my desk to check the market activity online. I shuffled through the messages stopping at one in particular.
Tanya had written, "Miss Bella Swan called and requested that in the future, you install eye-level signs where assigned parking is concerned." She'd also left a number asking me to contact her in regard to the parking space dilemma.
Was this chick serious or was this her idea of flirting? I had no idea, but I found myself chuckling. I'd definitely call her if not only to hear her brazenly smartass comments, but at the very least to get a visual of her smoking hot body as she ranted. Miss Bella Swan had no idea what she was getting herself into.
These two are a spectacularly funny pair, and their witty repartee and funny banter makes you wonder whether they should be dating or at each other’s throat. Edward’s playboy ways and Bella’s admirer cause quite a stir for the couple, but things seemingly work out. Thing get better once Bella learns of his tragic past and why he acts the way he does, and happy times are ahead for the couple. When Edward gets an admirer that takes things too far, going all psycho stalker, problems arise again and nearly break the couple apart for good.
I shall tell no more (mwahaha) so you’re just gonna have to go read this story if you want to know how it all ends! This is a wonderfully written story, with plenty of humor and plenty of yummy lemons in the mix! So take some time out of your day and give this story a read!
So grab a drink and enjoy!

“Don’t Take the Girl” by SparklingWand
I’m thoroughly enjoying my time off, and thought I should give you all another recommendation to check out. This week I have a sweet little niblet for you to sink your teeth into. Don’t Take the Girl by SparklingWand is loosely based on the song by Tim McGraw. When Charlie brings Edward along on his and Bella’s fishing trip, she is less than pleased. But as the trip progresses, they go from enemies to friends.
She felt a sense of urgency to get the cooler put together quickly and get back to the Cullens before they left. She grabbed the fish with the labels that read Edward. She was grateful to see Charlie didn't label any other fish because she grabbed about ten more filets and shoved them into the cooler. She wanted Edward to be able to brag.
The cooler was stuffed, and she closed it up. Rather than running through the house, she opened the garage door to reach the drive way immediately.
"Wait! Edward! Please wait!"
They were all in the car, and Edward looked so forlorn. Bella couldn't understand why he looked so sad. It wasn't until he had seen her that his face lit up. They smiled at each other, and he informed his father to stop the car.
Edward jumped out and ran towards Bella.
"I thought you weren't going to say goodbye." He smiled his sweet toothless smile.
"I wouldn't let you leave without saying goodbye. I just didn't want you to leave without your fish. You did so good today; I just figured you would want them to eat."
She handed him and cooler. He took and it and opened it. He realized that there was a considerable amount of fish in there.
"Bella, I didn't catch all these."
"No, but I figured you could use a few more to make a big fish fry. We have loads in the freezer."
"Thank you," he whispered shyly.
"You're welcome and thank you."
"For what?"
"For becoming my friend."
With that, they bid their farewells and made promises for future play dates and playground dates. Edward got back into the car, and the Cullens left.
That night, Bella said her nightly prayers with Charlie as she did every night, but tonight her prayers were slightly altered.
She and Charlie knelt beside her bed. She folded her hands and began to pray,
"God, bless Mommy and Daddy. Thank You so much for giving them to me. You couldn't have given me a better Mommy and Daddy. Thank You for all I have in my life. Thank You for Jake and Alice."
Bella paused and Charlie was about to say "Amen" when she continued her prayer.
"And dear God, thank You for my new friend, Edward. He may be a boy, but thank You, God, for opening my eyes to him. I know that You brought him to me for a reason and whatever that reason is, I'm listening. Amen."
Charlie was surprised by his daughter's prayer. She always talked more like an adult than a child, but this was not the prayer of a child. This was the prayer of a woman, and it brought a tear to his eye. His little girl was only eight, but she was growing up and seeing the world.
Charlie whispered, "Amen."
"All right, sweetheart, up in the bed. I'll send your Mother in to kiss you goodnight."
He tucked her in and kissed her forehead.
"Good night, baby girl."
"Night, Daddy."
Charlie turned the light off and was about to close Bella's door when she heard his daughter call his name.
"Daddy?'
"Yes, sweetheart?"
"Can Edward go fishing with us again next week?"
"You bet, baby doll. But what about Jake and Billy? You said we all wouldn't fit."
"I'm little. We can make room."
Charlie smiled. "Okay. I'll talk to Carlisle next week and set everything up. Now go to sleep."
Bella squealed and then immediately closed her eyes so Charlie wouldn't have the chance to change is his mind.
That was the first night she dreamt of Edward Cullen.
After their first trip together, the pair becomes inseparable, spending most of their time together. The story progresses through their life, from childhood, through the awkward years of adolescence and into adulthood. When a date ends in a stick-up, Edward and Bella are brought closer together, but this isn’t the last time they have to deal with the people that held them at gunpoint.
Throughout the story these two have to deal with the hardships that face them. Through it all, Edward and Bella have each other and their close friends to help each other out when the going gets tough. This story is a great story for anyone that needs to satisfy their love story fix.

“Time Marches On” by TheOneMama
Another week, another recommendation my darlings. This week, I suggest you go and read Time Marches On by TheOneMama. This O/S is beautifully written, and captivates you right from the beginning.
Life moves on no matter how some may wish it wouldn't. It's like a flash of pictures if you sit back and look at time gone by. There are the defining moments: the tragedy, the joyful, the peaceful lull that can precipitate either, or just the comfort of learning that you can't stave time off no matter what you do. The blush of youth gone, time marches on and sweeps you along with it.
This tale is in Bella’s POV, a snowy day outside the home where she sits, looking out the window as she reminisces on the past. The tale takes us though her life as she grows and learns. The story doesn’t mention specific periods or places in Bella’s life; rather it skims over them, sutblely hinting at different events. As the story progresses, we read of death and tragedy plaguing Bella’s life, happiness and sadness, loving and losing.
TheOneMama has written a wonderful story that gives a beautiful description of Bella’s life up to the end of this story, without telling the reader straight up. This O/s is a great read when on your lunch break or just because.
So grab a drink and enjoy!

“In Omne Tempus” by La Vita Nuova
Yee! I’ve got another fic from the amazing LaVitaNuova for you to sink your teeth into! So go lounge out on the porch with your favorite sunglasses (or hottie ;D) and a glass of lemonade, cause In Omne Tempus is a wolf pack fic, and those boys are H-O-T! This story is a Bella/Jared pairing, and it doesn’t ruin the dynamics or make you wonder what the hell is going on. This story starts off with Bella living with the Cullen’s after Charlie died in a car wreck shortly after graduation. While the Cullen’s are out one weekend, Bella decides to head down to La Push to hang out with Jake.
I plastered a big smile on my face and was pleased to see that Jake didn't read too much into it. Instead he threw his big arm over my small shoulders and led me away to the table. I could hear him throw out names of food at me but my concentration was shot. Instead I thrust my plastic cup at him only to be met with a guffaw
"Ok Bells, but if the bloodsucker asks this was all you"
I nodded as he filled up my cup again with beer. Happy to have something to do with my hands I held it tightly with both. I watched distractedly as Jake threw endless amounts of food on two plates and then thrust one at me. For the next hour I sat silently next to Jake, occasionally chancing glances around the group. All in all no one seemed to be paying me much attention, besides Emily who every time our eyes met offered me the softest of smiles.
Feeling the strange tensions from earlier slip away from me I stood and walked away from the group. The stories had inevitably made their way around to the Cullens and other Vampires the pack had encountered. Feeling uneasy with the conversation I walked down to the edge of the beach but feeling too cold to stop and sit I walked along the edge of the water line.
"Do you mind if I walk with you?"
I turned around to see Jared walking slowly to me from behind. Not wanting to be rude I nodded and he fell instep beside me. I watched as our feet moved in synchronization with one another.
"I've heard a lot about you"
"What have you heard?"
I wanted to stop, to see his face when he answered but I didn't, I kept my feet moving and my eyes trained down
"That you live with the Cullens"
I didn't say anything, I simply waited for the next words which were inevitable
"That you're engaged to one of them"
We had reached the rocks at the end of the beach. I turned to look back the way we had walked and saw the bonfire in the distance the sounds of echoing laughter cut through the air. I didn't move to walk back though, instead I looked up to see Jared staring at me. His eyes asking me a question that he had yet to bring alive in the night air
"Is it true?"
I nodded, not trusting my voice for some reason
"Do you love him?"
I opened my mouth to tell him just how much I loved Edward, to make him understand, but I couldn't. Looking up into his eyes I couldn't speak the words that until five seconds ago I had known in my gut to be completely infallible.
"I…."
Jared was looking back at me with intensity in his eyes and in that moment everything that I had known, believed, fought and lived for was not longer a certainty to me. I couldn't answer his question because I no longer knew.
With Bella questioning her love for Edward, She decides to move back into Charlie’s to re-evaluate her life and the choices she’s made. After weeks of hiding out in Charlie’s, she finally leaves the house and runs into Leah. Leah takes Bella home and starts a routine of checking up on her every day. For two months their routine continues, until Leah drags her out of the house to a housewarming party for Jared.
Things get interesting between Bella and Jared, but they both refuse to acknowledge the imprint, and Bella is still struggles with her decision with Edward. After Bella and Jake get in a fight, he runs away and meets his imprint, but gets in an accident on his way home. Carlisle fixes him up and Bella finally has a heart-to-heart with Edward. Victoria makes her presence known, and causes some problems in La Push.
The unusual circumstances of Bella and Jared’s relationship cause some problems for the pair, but they pull through strong. Through the good times and bad, these two make a wonderful couple. This story ends with a happily ever after that’ll make your heart sing.
So grab a drink and enjoy!

"The Orbititng Meteor" by IdreamofEddy
Well, well, well, I do believe I’ve got another good one for you this week lovelies! The fabulous Miss IdreamofEddy wrote an awesome story called The Orbiting Meteor. If you have yet to read this story, I suggest you drop everything and rush to the nearest computer and start reading now! This is the first Bella/Peter fic rec’d on the blog, and it is a spectacular work.
What she didn't know was that her truck had actually been killed by the man who was watching her now, and he knew she had traveled long enough. She was already in the vicinity of his first home. He also knew that she would love Santa Fe, as well as the warm sun that would hit her face three hundred twenty days a year on the average.
Bella made her decision when she was going through the want ads trying to find another car. She found a listing for a new sports department store that was hiring workers at eight bucks an hour. She could live on that, find a small apartment, and work to forget her problems while at the same time save a little money for school. She, of course, found the shittiest apartment imaginable, and in the poorest of neighborhoods. He knew she would be safe, but he watched her anyway. At this point, there was nothing left for him to do but just wait and give her time to heal.
On the patio, Bella's eyelids snapped open and she stretched. She needed to eat something before heading in to work. She picked up the card from where it had fallen and walked out to the edge of the patio, sliding her feet out of her furry flip-flops and stepping onto the cool grass.
The man watching her loved it when she did this - it always made him smile. She would always close her eyes and just stand there so quietly, with the sun warming her face, and all the distinct colors of red and brown shining through her hair.
Bella opened her eyes and something flashed out of the left corner of her eye. There was an instant frown and she quickly turned to find the culprit. It was just enough time for her heart to jump, panic was something she felt quick these days. Her garden globe sat to her left in the little miniature garden area she would plant this year with tomatoes and radishes. The sun was reflecting off the green globe, and Bella smiled. She turned around to retrieve her flip-flops, and then walked into the house.
She only had an hour or so before she had to head in, and the man watching her needed to go home and collect his thoughts. He was excited because this was the night when her eyes would truly meet his. He wanted to look good - not that he had to try too hard.
This was the night when fate would finally make itself known to Bella Swan, and he really couldn't wait. He had waited long enough. Part of him dreaded it - only because of her response. But, in time, that would work itself out, so he didn't need to worry. He was thrilled that her eyes would find him, and he really couldn't wait to see her in that outfit.
Bella's life was about to change again, and fate would find its way into her heart - forever. They both just had to put some effort into it.
Little did he know, that fate had changed its plans.
Peter and his all-knowing ways have led him to Bella after the death of his first mate, Charlotte. He has been keeping an eye on Bella since the day she was born, watching over her from the shadows. When Bella finally leaves home to strike out on her own, fate (and Peter) conspires to settle her in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Peter has been receiving his flashes of Bella’s future since she was born, writing it all down and making sure she stays on the right path.
When Bella and Peter meet, Bella is less than thrilled to meet him, completely unaware of his intentions. She warms up to him and they start to get closer, dealing with life as it comes at them. After a crazy few weeks and a visitor from Forks, things take a turn for the worse when Maria kidnaps Bella. Peter, with the help of some friends goes and takes care of Maria and her army of newborns.

“The Orbiting Meteor” by IdreamofEddy: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6453335/1/
"Scarlet" by archer24
Zippity-do-da! Zippity day! My, oh my what a wonderful day! Another week gone by, and it’s time for another recommendation! I stumbled upon this fic a few weeks ago, and was hooked after the first few chapters. “Scarlet” by archer24 reminded me why I love a man in uniform so much. Edward is a FBI agent assigned to one of the most notorious thieves in the Chicago area. When he figures out the location of the next heist, their meeting shocks Edward.
"Shit!" I yelled, narrowly stopping myself from tumbling over the edge as my hands grabbed where she had been just a moment before. There, casually standing in the middle of the roof, was the thief.
He was wearing a hood casting a shadow over his face, disguising himself.
"Freeze!" I yelled over the wind, pointing my gun at him with both hands.
My words seemed to have no effect on him, for he just started walking towards the opposite end of the roof.
"I said freeze!" I yelled louder.
He just kept walking further.
He raised something from his hand and slung it over his back. It was a tube-shaped container.
My eyes widened.
'The painting'
"Stop! There's nowhere for you to go!" I yelled again, inching closer, my gun still firmly pointed at them.
Again, they didn't even seem to hear me, just edged back further until they were standing about a half of a foot away from the ledge.
"Sir! Stop and hand over the painting!" I inched closer, keeping my eyes on them. There was no way he was getting away.
What I said seemed to finally get their attention.
He picked up his head and looked in my direction as if noticing me for the first time. I watched as his gloved hand came up and pushed the hood back off his face.
I felt my jaw drop as I saw tendrils of silky brown locks tumble out.
'Holy shit'
The scarlet thief was no man.
My gun lowered of its own accord, I still couldn't see the exact features of her face because of the darkness, but that didn't stop me from noticing that she was attractive.
She unzipped the trench coat she was wearing, revealing a pair of black tight-fitting pants and a black wife-beater.
Over that, she was wearing what looked like a harness with many straps and carabineers.
With the painting still strung across her back, she bent down and retrieved a carabineer with rope, which she promptly hooked to herself with precision.
The wind was whipping her hair across her face, as I saw her glance up at me again; the only feature of her that I could make out was the small amount of light that reflected off her teeth as she grinned.
Everything came rushing back to me.
"Stop!" My voice, and mind, seemed to finally start functioning; I started sprinting across the rooftop towards her.
When I was only about fifteen feet away; she gave me a crooked grin, saluted me with two fingers, and stepped backwards over the side of the building.
My eyes searched the dark night below me, seeing nothing but the rope she was using to jump as it kept turning through the pulley she had set up on the roof. There was no way I could stop it.
"Damn it!" I cursed, but the wind muffled it.
I whipped open my cell phone to call and see if any of the police had been able to grab her when she reached the street, but then remembered that I had set everyone up in the lobby to stop the thief when they went down.
The rope stopped running through the pulley.
The scarlet thief was gone.
Bella has a mysterious past, with no explanations as to why she became a thief. Bella and Edward run into each other at a coffee shop; Edward has no idea that she is the elusive thief he has been hunting. As Edward continues to try and capture the thief, Bella continues working and more of her past is revealed. When Edward finally catches Scarlet/Bella during a heist, he realizes who she is, and she escapes again. When Edward goes to investigate a lead and nearly gets killed, Bella comes to his rescue and gets him to safety, leaving him with more questions than answers.
But when Bella turns herself in and works out a deal with the director of the FBI to assist the FBI and work with Edward, he can’t figure out what her goal is. As they work together, the tension between them slowly dissipates, and they beginning of their love becomes visible to the both of them. When an adversary from Bella’s past shows up, things become more complicated for the pair.
When Edward finally discovers Bella’s true motives for turning herself over to the FBI, he has to make the decision whether to stay true to his job, or help the woman he loves. This story is full of action and one super badass Bella, with just enough angst to keep you entranced. This fic is well worth your time, and won’t disappoint.

"A Different Direction" by GemmaLisax
Hello lovelies! I’ve got a great fic for you, one that definitely won’t disappoint! A Different Direction by GemmaLisax is a great work (and a Jasper/Bella, therefore superb), full of drama and intrigue, wonderfully written, and not short on lemony deliciousness. What seemed to be another ordinary day, turned out to be life changing for Bella.
Edward ordered me to stay in the car, halting my attempt to exit. I got no explanation, no apology, and no chance to even question his suddenly surly demeanour. He simply issued the order and left me with the echo of the door slamming in his wake.
Well, there is no way that I'm just going to sit here like a fucking toddler. It was obvious that I wasn't in any danger, if I were, I would not have been left on my own. Edward's overprotective ass would never leave my side if that were the case. So I felt safe in the decision to exit the car at least. Once out and away from the Volvo my planned excuse would be that I was suddenly interested on Rose's vast array of tools. I could hear the sounds of arguing coming from inside as I closed the car door behind me. It was more of an angry buzz; obviously without me in the room there was no need to speak loud or slow enough for a human to hear. Growls erupted and the crashing of something made me jump and rethink my idea of getting out of the car.
The shouts got louder; I distinctly heard Esme and Carlisle's pleas for whomever to calm down. Then my name came into the mix and I froze. This is about me? What the hell is going on now?
"Bella's mine, Edward. You took her from me." A voice I was sure was Jasper's, bellowed out.
What the fuck?
Was that Jasper?
What the hell is he talking about?
I really, really wanted to just waltz in there and find out what the crap is going on. But my feet were glued to the concrete floor. Walking into the middle of a supernatural fight spoke even to my meagre sense of self preservation.
Suddenly there was silence. All sounds of, well fucking everything, just stopped. I was left with nothing but the harsh beating of my heart drumming through my ears…so, ok, maybe not everything stopped.
This story is full of twists and turns, leaving you constantly on the edge of your seat. Bella meets Peter and Charlotte, and from there things really get going. Edward and Alice betrayed the coven working with the Romanians, attempting hypnotism to read Bella’s mind and gain access to her shield. The Volturi protect the bloodlines that produce gifts, the Swans being one of them. The rivalry between the two covens since the Romanians destruction has left them sour and vengeful. The Cullen’s head to England and test Bella to see what Edward has ‘trained’ her to do. They discover his orders and work with Bella to undo his work while they travel through England on their way to meet the brothers in Italy. Renee and Phil were en route to Italy, but Phil was not completely innocent in the matter, so Bella has to explain everything to her mother. Bella and Jasper spend time together, and Bella gains more control over her gift through training.
The group arrives in Italy while Bella stays behind in England with guards, and Alice is captured. They attend the trial of Irina and Alice, and both are executed for their crimes. Edward and a small army come to take Bella back to their base. The remainder of Edward’s Army stays behind to fight the rest of the Volturi while Edward and Vladimir attempt to control Bella. They convince her that they are the good guys with the help of a new drug Edward created, and they turn her. During her change, one of the Volturi agent sneaks on to the yacht where Edward and Vladimir are holding Bella, and tells her of her everything that’s been going on. She awakens from the change and remembers everything, killing Edward and Vladimir.
Bella and Alistair make it to a nearby island and await Jasper and the rest of the Volturi. They arrive and have a splendid reunion. This story is one helluva twist on the classic tale, and well worth a read.

“Inception on a Rainy Night” by KT8812
As promised, I have a Jasper/Bella fic for y’all to sink your teeth into. If you have yet to read KT8812’s Inception on a Rainy Night, then you are definitely missing out! This fic is all kinds of naughty, with a very domineering Jasper. *smirks* Bella is a college student, and a student in Professor Cullen’s class. On the way home from a ball game one rainy night, Bella runs into Professor Cullen. He offers her a ride, and with the knowledge of what he really is, takes him up on the offer.
Bella tore her eyes away from his face as her heartbeat started to rise and she started feeling the first stirrings of her desire. She looked out of the window to find that they were traveling on a road hitherto unknown to her.
Run! Her mind screamed at her, but her body refused to obey.
The agonized silence was broken as the car came to a halt on the gravel outside a large mansion. Before she could make any observations, he was at her door in a flash to open the door for her.
A chivalrous vampire she mused as she entered the foyer. He moved silently through a pair of doors as she looked at the lair of the demon. The house looked more like a museum than anything else. It was nothing like the dark, damp cave she had imagined with cobwebs hanging off the walls.
Suddenly, she was cocooned in warmth and found that he had draped a shawl around her shoulders as he handed her a cup of steaming hot chocolate. She took the cup from him, her frozen fingers warming from its heat as he directed her to sit on a chaise.
She blew on the cup and took a hesitant sip and smiled as the thick, sweet liquid made its way down her throat, warming her from within. She found him standing in front of her, still as a statue, gazing at her with an intensity that made the blush rise up in her cheeks. As she took another sip, she wondered how completely bizarre the entire situation was.
As the silence grew, her mental filter seemed to have clogged up completely as she said the first thing that came to her mind.
"You keep chocolate in your house?"
A ghost of a smile flitted across his face as he continued to observe her single-mindedly.
"It is just to keep up appearances."
She nodded. "I see, obviously it's not of much use to you."
They get back to Jasper’s and multiple very hot, very sexy lemons through the night, and a very delicious wake-up call. A joke over feeding habits leads into Jasper and Bella discussing Jasper’s gift and feeding habits, which leads to further arguments. The pair discusses their issues and cause even more problems, so they decide to go about their routines and meet the next day to continue discussing things. When Bella goes to work and a patron gets too friendly, Jasper intervenes and nearly fucks her to death (quite literally).
Jasper decides to invite Carlisle over to help explain everything mating related to Bella, and after a snippet of Carlisle’s discussion with the other Cullen’s, they all sit down to discuss vampire mating. The topic becomes too much for Bella to handle, so she runs off to cool down. Carlisle comes to find her and take her back to the mansion, where Jasper has completely trashed the place because he believed Bella was rejecting him. When Bella tried to calm him down, the weight of his emotions caused her to pass out and Jasper to snap back to reality.
The pair spends the night “making up”, and in the morning Jasper takes her out and shows her what happens when vampires are exposed to sun and all tells her of his past with Maria and all his scars. This story has drama and naughty lemons, with updates coming soon.

"Password Protected: Only 98% Effective" by lexiecullen17
Hello again! I’ve got another rec for you to celebrate today. This week you need to go check out Password Protected: Only 98% Effective by lexiecullen17, the winner of the High Times Contest. This o/s is a full of laughs and giggles, and will surely tickle your funny bone.
Summer internship, week two. Yesterday was my twenty-first birthday. I spent it in my small sublet, drinking Heineken and watching a Daily Show marathon. This is what happens when you take an incredible opportunity to further your career instead of staying in Massachusetts where you're from—where all your friends are—the summer before your senior year of college. I can't complain too much. The internship is going to look spectacular on my resume. Working as a full-time paid intern in the legal department for one of the top lobbying firms in DC? And Dad definitely pulled some strings to get me here. No, I really can't really complain. But I'm going to. I know I'm not the friendliest guy, and I know my dad sent me to this firm in the hopes that I'd make some friends, but it's just not happening. I didn't even tell anyone it was my big birthday yesterday. No wonder I celebrated by myself. Maybe it's because I don't want to know anyone but her. Today, I'm going to find out her name. No, really. I know I said that yesterday, but today's the day. Wish me luck.
Edward, out.
Edward is crushing on Bella, the IT girl, and decides to introduce himself one day in the break room. They begin spending their lunches together, going through their coworkers work emails, laughing at their coworkers. After weeks of spending their lunch holed up in Bella’s office, Bella finally takes him to her secret spot outside the office to enjoy a little… herb *smirks* Edward and Bella run into each other in the outside world, Bella take s him back to her apartment to meet Alice and Jasper, and have some fun. When Edward catches Bella going through his email account, their friendship is almost ruined, until Bella reveals a secret to everyone that makes Edward feel like a fool. They make up, and the future is looking good. It’s a funny little piece and well worth your time, so get off your seat and move your feet!

"Red" by 22blue
Well, this week I’ve got another gem for you to give a read. Red by 22blue is a short multi-chapter fic, but it still has a lot of emotion to it. It’s a Bella/Edward (I know Jasper fans, calm down; you’ll get another B/J soon!). The story pulls you in with a sexy lemon and a shady plot. As the first chapter continues, more of the storyline is revealed:
His daughter nodded, his wife disregarded him, and Edward rose from the table and walked toward the bar.
A waiter approached Bella's table and set down a cup of warm tea with lemon. She opened the folded cocktail napkin the waiter carefully and cautiously placed next to the saucer and silently read the words scrawled on it.
I am the only one who can make you come the way you need.
Bella searched for Edward, her acquaintance none the wiser, but saw him nowhere. For a moment, she hoped Edward might be waiting for her in a less public location in the restaurant, then dismissed her rash thought... it wasn't Monday.
She also knew Edward would have taken more than Mondays, however this was her rule: only one night per week. Bella looked at Edward's wife and daughter. He'd never confirmed he had a family; she assumed he did, though. They all did.
Bella watched his daughter, noticing her brown and golden curls, the simple gold ball-shaped earrings she wore. She noticed her subtle yet precise movements, the way she carefully cut into her cake with her fork. Bella thought how much the young girl resembled her father. As Bella looked at Edward's wife, the way she paid little attention to the girl, she surmised the woman was despondent and cold. Bella unknowingly smiled, thinking of how she satisfied Edward, and how his wife would never be what Bella was to him. Still, a small and surprising ache presented itself in Bella's chest.
Excusing herself from the table, Bella approached Edward's daughter and wife. Politely, introducing herself as someone who couldn't help but notice the pretty little girl, she knelt next to the child and wished her a happy birthday. It was clear to Bella that it was the girl's birthday given the cake and present sitting on the table.
She asked Edward's daughter to hold out her hand.
Bella glanced at Edward's wife and said, "A beautiful girl should have beautiful things." Bella placed her diamond stud earrings in the girl's hand – the same earrings she'd purchased with Edward's money. She then gently folded his daughter's fingers over them.
"You're a lucky woman," Bella commented to Edward's wife then walked back to her table.
Bella is an escort and Edward one of her clients. The story is told from a third person POV, and captivates you with the interaction and emotion between the two lovers. When they meet again, their feelings for each other become stronger and interfere with their arrangements. When it becomes too much for Bella to handle, she attempts suicide. When at the hospital, Edward tries to visit her and is confronted by her doctor and Edward’s godfather Dr. Reyes. After a brief visit and a fourteen day hold in the hospital, Dr. Reyes makes special arrangements for Bella to be treated by him privately in his lake house. Bella meets Dr. Reyes’ partner Jasper, and becomes fast friends.
Throughout her stay at the lake house, Bella and Edward face the issues of Bella’s past and Edward’s marriage, and their future. In the end, they leave together for a vacation in Paris while Edward’s divorce is finalized. When they return to Seattle, Bella gets work as a florist at Clearwater Florists. When Edward’s ex confronts Bella at the florist shop, she packs all her belongings and leaves.
The last chapter consists of the two lovers writing back and forth between each other. Only showing a few letters, their correspondence spans ten years. With a push from Edward’s daughter Senna, Edwards goes to win Bella back. The story ends with Edward and Bella together at Senna’s graduation. This story is a great mix of love and sadness, with a hint of lemon.

"Room 15" by coldplaywhore
Hey y’all! I’ve got another rec for you this week! If, you haven’t already, go out and read coldplaywhore’s Room 15. This fic is an expansion of the original o/s, and switches between Bella and Edward POV, without overlapping so you don’t have to read the same events from a different perspective like some fics. Bella and Edward are both med students at UW. They are paired up to work together on a major project for class, and their first interaction isn’t the most splendid:
"Personally, I think I've drawn the short stick in this twisted game of Dr. Banners'. I mean, everyone knows I'm in the top percentile of the class and he assigns me you? I can't help but wonder what his motivation was?"
"What the hell are you talking about? I have outstanding grades and I'm sure Dr. Banner could confirm that fact for you," I retorted, the anger bubbling to the surface as I started to shove my textbooks into my backpack with a little more force than necessary. Dr. Banner finished announcing his pairings and then excused us from class, but Edward didn't move. He was still watching me, curiosity clear on his rather beautiful face. Hell, if he wasn't so much of an asshole, I would even go so far as to say he was hot. Unfortunately, his personality counteracted his attractiveness.
"We've never talked before in my life, so don't assume to know me. I don't really appreciate your attitude and if Banner hadn't stated that we shouldn't even ask about changing partners, I would ask to be reassigned to someone else. Hell, anyone else would be an improvement over you."
"You're a bit of a condescending bitch, is what I've heard. Just a rumor you know, don't shoot the messenger," he said cockily as he held up his hands in defeat. I narrowed my eyes again, my blood literally boiling, I was that furious. "I thought you would be the first one to drop out of the program, so I am a bit surprised you are still here."
"Why the hell would you think that? You don't even know me."
"You're too cute for medical school. Are you sure you just aren't here to try and find yourself a husband?"
"That is such a sexist assumption. Screw you, Cullen," I replied as I put my laptop back into the bag and put both bags on my shoulder and began making my way down the aisle and out of the room. My gut clenched tightly as I heard his rough footfalls behind me. Why couldn't he just go away? Oh right… the stupid research project about the topic that I was fascinated with.
"Swan, ease down the aggression. I'm just saying what I heard. While I will admit that I have never had the chance to speak to you in class, I must admit that not all the rumors are wrong," he said as I stopped in my tracks and turned around, hitting him hard in the thigh with my laptop bag. "What? You have a great ass!"
But never fear! These two and their banter continue on throughout their time working together. When they meet again in Room 15 things heat up, and one delicious lemon ensues. Their relationship (if you’d even call it that) is pretty rocky, each of them trying to deal with their developing feelings for each other. And when they find out that they’re both competing for a prestigious internship, things become even more heated. The chemistry between these two is palpable, but they are unwilling to act and try to forget each other. When they finally give into each other, everything seems perfect. Almost too perfect.
When Carlisle comes and intervenes in Edward’s life it causes a problem between our happy couple. When he introduces Bella to Carlisle, they don’t get along to well, and a heated argument ends in Carlisle pulling some strings to get Edward the scholarship. The drama that comes makes for one helluva fic. Edward and Bella finish the project, but not without struggling with each other the whole way. The end result is superb, and the pair face a bright future together.

"What About Love?" by La Vita Nuova
Ah, Spring Break (for Americans, anyways)! What better way to enjoy your vacation than another awesome fic from an amazing author! This week I recommend you go and read La Vita Nuova’s What About Love? This is one hell of story, with a Bella you can’t help but love.
In this fic, Bella and Alice are twins, and an inseparable duo. Despite being the exact opposites of each other, they still are the best of friends. When Rosalie Hale comes into the picture, she causes a rift between the sisters. Alice and Rosalie new friendship starts to drive a wedge between the sisters. The final nail in the coffin comes at a party one night:
Bella grabbed out for the nearest available object to keep her upright and apologized profusely when her fingernails clamped down on a shrieking girl, but her eyes never left the sight Rosalie had been so eager for her to see. Standing clear in the middle of the backyard, next to what she would have otherwise described as a picturesque pool, was Bella's best friend and twin sister, furiously kissing the love of her existence. It was like a horror film, desperately wanting to shield her eyes from the sight, but knowing she would only peak through the gaps. Just as she decided she couldn't take it any longer, they pulled apart, the bile rising in Bella's throat as Edward's finger gently trailed Alice's cheek with a reverential look in his eyes. Bella turned on her heel and ran, question upon question racing through her mind as uncertain feet hit down hard on the ground beneath. She didn't stop for anything, not even when she tripped over, flailing to her knees in the gritty driveway. Her body didn't slow down for a second. Heart beats and feet raced their way home, and even as she felt the burning strains in her muscles, Bella only pushed on faster and harder, enjoying the physical pain as it superseded the emotional.
She tore through the house like a wild animal, not caring whether Charlie was home to hear her wailing cries. Images of betrayal were burned into the recesses of her mind and no matter how hard she sobbed, or how much she begged for the images to disappear, they simply wouldn't go away.
Bella finishes off the school year avoiding Alice and the others, taking off for Oxford to attend school. The best part of this fic is that it switches back and for between the present and her time in high school, slowly revealing what happened at the party then her time in Oxford. After Oxford she came back to live in Arizona with Jake and takes a job at a publishing house in the area. Alice moves in near them, and her and Rosalie ruin her life again when they sleep with Jacob and send her a video of the act. With the publishing house being closed and the employees transferred to different locations, Bella takes this opportunity and packs her things, taking a position in the Chicago office.
Meanwhile La Vita Nuova is telling Bella in present day Chicago. Alice has moved to the city with her fiancé Jasper. Bella attends a barbeque and meets some of Jasper’s friends. One in particular, Leah, helps Bella devise a plan to help ruin Alice’s life the way she ruined Bella’s. The duo slowly work on Jasper, and when Bella attends a Masquerade Ball and run into Alice and Rosalie, her plans come to fruition. When Bella takes Jasper back to his and Alice’s place to sleep off the party, they end up sleeping together. Bella leaves and tries to avoid Jasper, but after he comes to her apartment and she runs into Rosalie, she gets hit by a car trying to flee. After talking with everyone during her Hospital stay, finding out about Jasper calling off the engagement, Alice’s desperate attempts to get him back, and a blind date with another one of Jasper’s friends, Bella and Leah decide to move forward with their plans.
This story is still in progress, and as of now, Bella is spending time at Jasper and his friends at his cabin. La Vita Nuova has written one awesome Bitchella, and you just gotta love her. Bella and Leah make one badass duo, and I suggest you get over and get yourself caught up on this awesome fic!

"Lessons Unexpected" by AlexisDanaan
Okay folks, I’ve got another rec for you this week, and this one’s a real winner. If you haven’t read AlexisDanaan’s Lessons Unexpected then you need to do so now! This little beauty has a great plot, and a whole helluva lot of angst. This starts out with Bella, four years after Edward left, working at a bar in Alaska while attending college. This certainly isn’t the Bella we know; she got a whole lot more fire in her veins now. When working one night, she comes across Jasper in the back alley, and their reunion isn’t on the best of terms:
Bella gasped and pulled at the unyielding hand around her throat, willing herself to stay calm despite the fact that her chest was burning and she feared for her life. Her efforts were for nothing; the kind of panic that swallows a human being faced with death is not easily defeated and Bella was no master at staring down death. Sure, she had been pretty sure she was about to die when she went to meet James, but when the moment came she was far too distracted by the pain in her body. Now, there was very little pain compared to back then. Now, there was a terrifying lack of oxygen, a burning in her chest, and fear in her heart. She felt her limbs growing heavy as her vision darkened. She realized, belatedly, that the last thing she would see before she died would be Jasper's angry face, staring into her own. For some reason, that disappointed her.
"Argh! I can't do this!" Jasper practically screamed as he released his hold on Bella's throat.
Instantly she dropped to her knees, taking in a deep, painful and ragged breath as she did. Her hands came out to catch her and she found herself on all fours, staring at the toes of Jasper's boots. Cowboy boots; she had been right about his footwear. She wanted to laugh at herself, and would have had she had the breath to do so; of all the stupid things to think of when your life has just been handed back to you.
Suddenly, Jasper was crouching in front of her, his lips next to hear ear, "Stay away from me Bella Swan. I've no need for you to complicate my life once again."
With the speed and grace inherit in his species, Jasper straightened up and turned on his heel. She looked up, watching him cross the street and walk away as if he had been doing nothing but strolling leisurely through the neighbourhood. As she watched his retreating back she felt that same anger rise up in her again, the anger she had worked so hard to let go of four years ago when he had walked away from her, when they had
walked away from her.
Jasper was walking away from her, again. Abandoning her. Running.
Coward, she thought, her blood boiling.
"You COWARD!" she screamed, her throat protesting such violent use so soon after being assaulted.
Jasper didn't pause. He didn't look back. He didn't even acknowledge that he'd heard her.
He just kept walking.
After running into Jasper again during class, they have another spat, and again at her work, Bella begins to worry that she might have pushed Jasper over the edge. That night she finds out how right she was. After a scuffle in her room, Jasper takes a bite out of Bella, and the change ensues.
Waking up from the change in a cabin in the Alaskan wilderness, Bella realizes what Jasper has done and attacks him. The pair continues fighting for months while Bella struggles to gain control of her bloodlust. These two are constantly at odds with each other, fighting over the simplest of things. Combined with Bella’s unstable emotions, there are a few good fights between the pair. With the Charlie’s vow to continue the search for his supposedly dead daughter, Jasper decides it time to move on. They head to a Cullen house in Canada to wait out Bella’s newborn year. The pair grows closer as their time together wears on, and hopes for more than friendship is in the air. Unfortunately Alice’s visions bring the Cullen clan to the Canada house, and cause a rift between the two. Fights break out, and the once calm house is disrupted.
Never fear, AlexisDanaan ends this story on a high note; A naughty lemon in the forest, an understanding between Bella and Edward, and everyone heading their separate ways. The epilogue gives us a glimpse into their lives several years down the road. We get to see bits of what the happy couple has been up to in the past few years, and the happiness that our lovely couple shares. This is one great fic, and will keep you hooked for sure.

"Miror Quaenam Sis Tam Bella" by MeraNaamJoker
Alright folks, it’s another week, another recommendation. This week, I recommend you get over and read MeraNaamJoker’s Miror Quaenam Sis Tam Bella. This is a Paul/Bella pairing, with all the drama that ensues when these two get together. The story begins with Bella up on the cliffs; but before she can jump, Paul intervenes and pulls her away from the edge. When he goes to confront her on why she jumped, he imprints and they get down and dirty on the cliffs. And then a few more times in various locations around Bella’s house. Confused by their feelings and not wanting to ruin their relationship with Jake because of their imprinting, Paul tries to break the imprint by running away to Canada (Now why does that sound familiar?). While Paul is on his Canadian excursion, Bella gets a chance to see the Paul that nobody knew, the Paul he kept hidden from the rest of the pack (Hint: Brawn AND brains! He’s to die for!) Unable to resist the pull he feels, Paul goes running back to Bella, and they make up with a nice little lemon. But the threat of Victoria still looms, and after setting a trap to lure her in, the pack dispatches her with the help of a certain all-seeing pixie vamp.
Throughout the story, Bella is dealing with a struggle within herself between the different parts of herself; Edward’s Bella, Jake’s Bells, and Paul’s Isabella. Each one looking after their own interests, especially the part of her that wants to keep their imprinting secret to stay friends with Jake. This issue causes a fair few fights between the happy couple, but once their secret’s out and Jake knows, things all start to fall into place. Victoria is taken care of, Jake comes around to their imprint, and Bella’s inner selves come together at last:
I honestly didn't know if I'd be able to do it until I heard the words come out of my mouth. "I love you, Paul."
Was that you? I asked the other-me, but she was silent. She didn't love Paul, she just owned him. The love was all me.
Holding my breath, I looked at Paul and waited. Please don't say it, please don't say it. I knew how he felt. I didn't need to hear "I love you." It sounded way too much like "I'll leave you."
He didn't say it, of course, so I smiled at him, and tugged his mouth down to mine. When he lifted his head again, he looked serious. "Thanks. I know you didn't want to say it, so . . . Thanks."
"I meant it." I shrugged a little, leaning up to kiss his chin. "If you need to hear it, then I need to say it. I mean, I don't have to, but I want to. You're my Paul, but I'm your Isabella. Okay?" I knew I couldn't give him the reassurance he offered me so regularly. I couldn't claim to be all his. Not yet. There were too many pieces of me fragmented and lodged in other hearts. So I put what I had on the table. "I'm only ever Isabella for you." I waited to see if that would be enough for him.
"That's the only you I want," Paul replied, and he smiled when he said it.
The room spun around him, dislodged from its usual gravity by the drugs I'd taken. He was the only stable thing in front of me, but he was enough. I raised my hand to caress his cheek, feeling the other-me and the Bella-me and the Bells-me move and turn and reorganize inside at his words, clicking with the Isabella-me to form something new. Something that maybe really was all his. This was the reassurance I could offer, so I said it out loud: "Then that's the only me I want to be," and pulled him into my embrace.
The story has a beautiful ending; with the pair attend the wedding of Jake and his imprint, Amanda. After the event and a discussion of the future, MeraNaamJoker brings the story full circle; the couple taking a dive of the La Push cliffs. It’s a sweet story, and doesn’t short on the angst.
So grab a drink and enjoy!
